Thanks to a broad range of skin finishes in CS2, every gun can be painted using a multitude of ways. However, one style really stands out, courtesy of its 3D-looking texturing. We’re talking about Gunsmith skins, which have brought texture to the world of Counter-Strike. So, here are the best Gunsmith skins in CS2, with an option for every weapon.
Pistols: Best Gunsmith Skins in CS2
CZ75-Auto | Syndicate
Price: $10
We start off with the CZ. A simple yet beautiful skin that focuses on geometry to achieve a premium look. With gold triangles protruding from the spare magazine and barrel, the look is complete with a space-like pattern on the grip.

Desert Eagle | Light Rail
Price: $5
The Light Rail gives the Deagle a futuristic profile that is strengthened by the Gunsmith accents on the grip and the barrel. This is a more subtle use of the finish style, as it doesn’t really go all in, instead deciding to focus on a few smart visual tricks.

Dual Berettas | Royal Consorts
Price: $3
One of the quintessential examples of a classic Gunsmith finish, the Royal Consorts bring a lot of flair to the gun, making it seem like it was handcrafted for a 19th century King. With green pearlescent grips and a gold barrel and grip insets, these guns look rich and fancy. While also costing very little in real money because this is CS2 and nobody appreciates craftsmanship anymore!

Five-SeveN | Flame Test
Price: $0.30
One of the simpler Gunsmith finishes out there, the Flame Test is simple. It’s a shiny purple barrel with silver specks and a sliver flame overlay, making it look like a lighter posing as a gun. Well… It will certainly light up your enemies.

Glock-18 | Royal Legion
Price: $7
Intricate is a word we’ll be overusing in this article, and the Royal Legion definitely fits that niche. The design features a crafted silver slider, along with a leather-like grip, making it look like a classy weapon that wouldn’t be out of place in a legionnaire’s hands.

P2000 | Imperial Dragon
Price: $9
The Imperial Dragon does not look like a Gunsmith finish… and yet, it is a Gunsmith finish! A colorful reference to China, it features a dragon engraved on a dark red gun. It’s not the most interesting, but hey, it’s classy.

P250 | Apep’s Curse
Price: $116
Apep’s Curse has been discussed at length in our articles on the best mythological skins in CS2 and CS2 Egyptian skins, but we’ll give you the lowdown here. Created by apel8, one of the most prolific skin designers in all of Counter-Strike, this skin is gold, with Egyptian markings and red and green accents. It has a beautiful depth to it (a trademark of apel8’s) and excellent details. We like it.

R8 Revolver | Llama Cannon
Price: $14
From Ancient Egypt, we head to the Wild West… the South American Wild West. That’s right, we’re talking Gauchos, Latin American cowboys, as this weapon is used for hunting Llamas, and you ain’t finding a Llama in Montana if you know what I mean.

Tec-9 | Remote Control
Price: $6
The Remote Control is a sci-fi styled CS2 skin that would work great for used-future setups like Star Wars, The Expanse or Firefly. With many moving parts and doodads, it looks incredible with a lot of nuance and detail. We love it.

USP-S | The Traitor
Price: $70
A tarot-based skin, this is mostly down to the artwork; however, it’s the only Gunsmith USP out there, so hey, we’ll take it. It’s intricately drawn, but doesn’t really showcase the Gunsmith style.

Assault Rifles: Best Gunsmith Skins in CS2
AK-47 | Inheritance
Price: $275
A very fresh skin from the Kilowatt case, the Inheritance is a unique take on the Gunsmith, bringing a bright theme to the AK. Looking like something straight from a Victorian bedchamber, the Inheritance combines class and beauty into a really fun skin.

AUG | Aristocrat
Price: $6
The Aristocrat is similar in vibe to the Inheritance, but much less original. Silver accents over a navy blue do give off a rich feel, with the Gunsmith texturing adding some much-needed depth to a rather bland concept. Decent.

FAMAS | Commemoration
Price: $20
This skin was designed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Counter-Strike, and its all-gold Gunsmith finish is a sight to behold! Looking like an enlarged medal, or a flattened wrestling belt, this beautiful design features classic CS map names, some CS heraldry as well as… a map of the world. It’s shiny, and it makes you want to use the FAMAS.

Galil AR | Firefight
Price: $3
From a great example of a Gunsmith skin to a meh example. The Firefight is a semi-futuristic skin with some Gunsmith texturing. It’s not bad per se, just boring. But hey… It’s a Gunsmith. Next!

M4A1-S | Golden Coil
Price: $190
Now this is more like it! A certified classic and a bona fide gem, the Golden Coil adds some bling to the long M4 in style. With a scaly gold pattern on the silencer and a snake graphic as its centerpiece, this skin looks amazing and uses the finish to its full potential.
Open cases with M4A1-S | Golden Coil
M4A4 | Royal Paladin
Price: $100
Similarly to the Golden Coil, the Royal Paladin adds gold… to the short M4. Its extremely intricate texturing is the centerpiece, but the gray patterned accents make it more anachronistic, in a good way.

SG 553 | Heavy Metal
Price: $0.60
Ever had that friend who was really into heavy metal and wore all kinds of leather gadgets? Well, we’re sorry to say, he’s been turned into a CS2 skin. The center of the design is a series of bulging squares that look just like something a metalhead would wear on their wrist. This is a really fun design, and one of the best uses of the Gunsmith finish out there.

Sniper Rifles: Best Gunsmith Skins in CS2
AWP | Chrome Cannon
Price: $210
The Chrome Cannon is a really controversial skin. You either love it or hate it… and we love it. Using the Gunsmith design to give the weapon a shifting holographic-like feel, the weapon really comes into its own on higher detail settings. Perhaps it’s not one for the players, as much as it is one for the spectators.

SSG 08 | Ghost Crusader
Price: $4
We finish off on a futuristic skin that comes back to the subtler side of the Gunsmith. A nice white-and-blue coat of paint along with some cool texturing, it’s not the most interesting (especially compared to the last 4), but it will do if it suits your fancy.

SCAR-20 | Fragments
Price: $0.30
This geometric skin is one of the most interesting designs in the game, using triangular shapes to create the gun. It looks futuristic, reminds us of some loading screens in sci-fi games. I mean, just see for yourself.
Open cases with SCAR-20 | Fragments
G3SG1 | High Seas
Price: $4
Arrr! This one takes us to the High Seas with a skin that looks like it was crafted straight from a Galleon in the age of pirates. Very detailed, blue gold and white, it’s one of those skins that elevate a meh gun, and we’re all for it.

MAC-10 | Pipe Down
Price: $2
We come to one of the quintessential Gunsmith finishes. The Pipe Down turns the MAC-10 into a completely different beast altogether, fitting it with pipes that completely transform the MAC-10 into a weapon that might need maintenance from Mario and Luigi.
Open cases with MAC-10 | Pipe Down
MP5-SD | Gauss
Price: $2
The Gauss doesn’t go all in like the Pipe Down, but it has similar accents with copper accents being a focus of the skin. It’s very much “used future”, working well in a variety of settings, while using the Gunsmith finish to add some depth.
Open cases with MP5-SD | Gauss
MP7 | Powercore
Price: $5
Guns and power tools have a lot in common. Dangerous in the wrong hands, they have triggers… This skin combines the two dangerous tools in one, as the Gunsmith texturing is first and foremost used to support that vibe. It’s green, it’s vibrant, we like it!
Open cases with MP7 | Powercore
MP9 | Modest Threat
Price: $0.30
The Modest Threat looks like it’s pulled straight from the Martian Navy in the Expanse. While not very… Gunsmithy. There’s some depth added here, but it won’t shock you as it will fit much better in a sci-fi loadout.
Open cases with MP9 | Modest Threat
PP-Bizon | Runic
Price: $0.30
This combines old with new school in a fun way, giving the Bizon a brand new mag texture, along with some runic engravings. It looks like a gun that wouldn’t be out of place in a game like Doom.
Open cases with PP-Bizon | Runic
P90 | Shallow Grave
Price: $8
Speaking of Doom, here’s another horror CS2 skin: Shallow Grave uses the Gunsmith to create a stone-like texture on the P90’s grip, while covering the remainder of the skin with some dark artwork.
Open cases with P90 | Shallow Grave
UMP-45 | Gold Bismuth
Price: $7
An interesting take on gold, as the gold here isn’t that glittery, instead working well as a textured accent on top of a silver coat. It’s subtler than most gold skins, and uses the Gunsmith really well. While the UMP might be out of favor, this skin is definitely not!

Shotguns: Best Gunsmith Skins in CS2
MAG-7 | Cinquedea
Price: $840
The Cinquedea is a heavy broad-bladed medieval dagger, and this skin pays homage to it by giving it a medieval vibe through fleur-de-lis patterns on glass inlays, as well as a leather-like grip. This skin is among the most intricate in the game and we love it.
Open cases with MAG-7 | Cinquedea
Nova | Wild Six
Price: $2
A post-apocalyptic CS2 skin, the Wild Six doesn’t make the most out of the Gunsmith style, but still looks decent, using the technique to get some richer textures on its rather bland coat of paint.
Open cases with Nova | Wild Six
Sawed-Off | Yorick
Price: $0.56
Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him well! This skin references Shakespeare’s Hamlet, presenting us what we have to assume is Yorick’s skull (of being held by Hamlet fame) on a golden textured background. As writers, we have to give it a high grade if only for the name.
Open cases with Sawed-Off | Yorick
XM1014 | Watchdog
Price: $5
Despite being named the watchDOG, this jade-colored skin actually features lions. It’s a classic representative of the Gunsmith style, with intricate (told ya we’d overuse it!) gold lions engraved on the weapon. It’s cool.

Machine Guns: Best Gunsmith Skins in CS2
M249 | Warbird
Price: $2
You guessed it. This WarBIRD doesn’t show a bird either. It’s not too Gunsmithy at first glance as the finish is actually used to give it an extremely scuffed look to make it reminiscent of a WW2 warplane, hence the name.
Open cases with M249 | Warbird
Negev | Mjölnir
Price: $2572
We’ve gone on at length about this one in our mythology skins article, so we’ll keep it short. Extremely expensive due to upgrading into the Gungnir, the Mjölnir is based on Thor’s hammer and leans into the foundry aspect of the skin. It’s a really fun use of Gunsmith texturing, while also playing around with non-standard colors.
