Black Pearl CS2 Skins: Full Guide with Prices

KeyDrop Team

Alright, let’s talk Black Pearls—one of the rarest and most stunning knife skins in CS2. If you’re a fan of sleek, mysterious vibes, this one’s got your name all over it. We’re diving deep into what makes Black Pearl CS2 skins so special and why every CS2 collector dreams of having one in their stash. Ready to get your hands on the most exclusive blade in the game? Let’s go!

What Are Black Pearl CS2 Skins?

In CS2, the Black Pearl is a rare version of the Doppler skin, known for its unique, dark finish.

In general, Doppler skins, available only for knives, can feature a range of colors, including blue, purple, red, and green. The proportions of colors on the blade are randomized: some Doppler skins will have more blue, for instance, while others will be mostly (or completely) red.

These color proportions are known as Phases. There are four standard Doppler Phases, which feature a blend of two or more colors. For example, Phase 1 is mostly black and red, while Phase 3 combines blue, green, and black. When you drop a Doppler from a case, you’re most likely to get one of these standard Phases—they’re Restricted rarity and the most common variety of Dopplers.

Then, there are elite-tier Dopplers, which feature a single color. There’s the Ruby, which is all red, the blue Sapphire, and the Black Pearl. Ruby and Sapphire are Classified rarity, while the Black Pearl is a Covert skin and one of the rarest knife skins out there. These single-color varieties are considerably more expensive than the standard Phases, with the Black Pearl often reaching the highest prices.

Glacier Black Pearls

As if standard Black Pearls weren’t rare enough (they’re super rare, for those who haven’t been paying attention), there’s a specific type of Black Pearls that’s even more valuable and sought-after. Known as Glacier Black Pearls, these ultra-rare patterns feature hint of arctic blue. Check out this guide on Steam to see a full list of Glacier pattern numbers with pictures.

Glacier Black Pearls tend to cost more than “standard” Black Pearls, but they’re too rare to accurately determine just how much more expensive they are. They cost whatever collectors are willing to pay for them, really! And speaking of prices…

How Much Are Black Pearls Worth?

Just like with every other item in the game, the prices of CS2 Black Pearls vary over time. Here’s a rough guide to how much it could cost you to add one to your collection (unless you win it on Key-Drop!):

KnifePrice range (average)
Bayonet Black Pearl$3,000–$5,000
Bowie Knife Black Pearl$1,500–$2,000
Butterfly Knife Black Pearl$9,000–$15,000
Falchion Knife Black Pearl$1,200–$2,200
Flip Knife Black Pearl$2,000–$3,000
Gut Knife Black Pearl$800–$1,500
Huntsman Knife Black Pearl$2,000–$2,500
Karambit Black Pearl$7,500–$18,000
M9 Bayonet Black Pearl$9,000–$20,000
Navaja Knife Black Pearl$500–$1,000
Shadow Daggers Black Pearl$800–$1,500
Stiletto Knife Black Pearl$2,200–$4,000
Talon Knife Black Pearl$3,300–$10,000
Ursus Knife Black Pearl$1,500–$2,500
Black Pearl prices

You’ll notice many of these price ranges are pretty large—after all, there’s a big difference between paying $7,500 and $18,000 for a Karambit | Black Pearl! (I can’t afford either, so it’s all the same to me, but you know what I mean.)

The exact price depends on three main factors:

  1. Float. Float in CS2 refers to how “worn” the weapon looks. Knives with low float (Factory New) will be more expensive than ones with high float. For collectibles like the Black Pearl, particularly low floats (i.e., those starting with 0.00) can snag double the price of a higher-float equivalent of the same skin.
  2. StatTrak. In CS2, StatTrak is the kill counter you see on some weapons. On guns, it’s a small digital display, while on knifes it takes the form of numbers scratched onto the blade. Black Pearls with StatTrak can be more expensive because they’re rarer.
  3. Pattern. Some patterns are more expensive than others, like the Glacier Black Pearl patterns mentioned above. Avid collectors who know their stuff may consider certain patterns more valuable than the rest, driving prices.

Alright, let’s look at some Black Pearls!

All Black Pearl CS2 Skins

Here’s every Black Pearl in the game, starting with the most expensive:

M9 Bayonet Black Pearl

M9 Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $9,000–$20,000

Behold—one of the most coveted, and definitely one of the priciest, knives in CS2. The M9 Bayonet Black Pearl can reach even $20k (and actually sell for that much), so dropping one from a case could be a life-changer!

Karambit Black Pearl

Karambit | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $7,500–$18,000

The dream skin for many players, the Karambit Black Pearl looks truly impressive. The black handle of the knife works perfectly with the dark pattern on the blade and finger ring.

Butterfly Knife Black Pearl

Butterfly Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $9,000–$15,000

Butterfly Knives are some of the most sought-after skins in the game, and the Black Pearl is no exception. The inlays in the handles are dark blue, complimenting the blade nicely.

Talon Knife Black Pearl

Talon Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $3,300–$10,000

The Talon Knife’s light-colored handle provides contrast for the blade—some players will like it, others prefer the all-black Karambit. Either way, this, too, is a highly valuable skin with prices regularly reaching $10k.

Bayonet Black Pearl

Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $3,000–$5,000

Much cheaper than the M9 Bayonet… But, let’s be honest, also not as cool-looking. Still, the Bayonet Black Pearl looks pretty impressive, and the long, wide blade of this knife is perfect for displaying the swirling colors of the Black Pearl finish.

Stiletto Knife Black Pearl

Stiletto Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $2,200–$4,000

The Stiletto is one of the few knife types that feature the Black Pearl finish not only on the blade, but also on other elements, in this case the “metal” parts of the handle (guard and pommel).

Flip Knife Black Pearl

Flip Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $2,000–$3,000

The Flip Knife’s aggressive-looking, curved blade works perfectly with the dark finish of the Black Pearl. The handle can seem a bit out of place, but luckily, your character’s hand will be covering it most of the time!

Huntsman Knife Black Pearl

Huntsman Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $2,000–$2,500

Survive in style with the Huntsman Knife Black Pearl! This combination of the ultimate outdoor, dangerous-looking knife with the ethereal patterns and colors of the Black Pearl finish shouldn’t work… but it somehow does. It certainly works enough to net prices exceeding $2k.

Ursus Knife Black Pearl

Ursus Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $1,500–$2,500

Just like with the flip knife, the handle’s not the best match in this case—but the angular, simple blade looks awesome with this finish.

Falchion Knife Black Pearl

Prices: $1,200–$2,200

If you want the highest amount of Black Pearl in your Black Pearl, the Falchion Knife delivers. Here, not only the blade features this finish, but also the handle, with light, bare metal providing some welcome contrast.

Bowie Knife Black Pearl

Bowie Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $1,500–$2,000

Black handle, dark-red guard and pommel, and Black Pearl on the blade—what more could you want? The Bowie’s large, wide blade does an excellent job of showcasing this rare finish.

Gut Knife Black Pearl

Gut Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $800–$1,500

We’re finally down to under $1k (for higher floats, anyway). The structure of the Gut Knife is pretty interesting—its tang (the part of the blade that goes into the handle) is visible on every side, with wooden elements screwed on as the handle. The Black Pearl finish is visible along the whole length of the knife. It’s not the most stylish knife out there, but hey, a Gut Knife Black Pearl is better than no Black Pearl!

Shadow Daggers Black Pearl

Shadow Daggers | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $800–$1,500

Not everyone’s a fan of jabbing enemies with the Shadow Daggers, but perhaps the Black Pearl finish will convince at least some of you to give these a chance.

Navaja Knife Black Pearl

Navaja Knife | Doppler Black Pearl CS2 skin

Prices: $500–$1,000

The Navaja Knife is the cheapest Black Pearl out there, even for the lowest floats. Let’s be real—it’s not the coolest knife out there, and the handle doesn’t really go that well with the Black Pearl finish. But hey, it can still be worth a thousand bucks.

How to Get a Black Pearl in CS2

There are a few ways to get a Black Pearl in CS2:

Buy One on a Reputable Marketplace

The surest way to get a Black Pearl is to purchase one directly. There’s no guesswork or chance involved here: you’ll know exactly what your money will get you. You’ll be able to see the pattern and float of the skin before making the purchase.

The obvious drawback of this method is that you’d need anywhere from $500 to $15k+ to buy a Black Pearl, depending on the knife type and the other factors described above. If you do decide to buy one, make sure to use a reputable marketplace to avoid scammers.

Open CS2 Cases

Opening cases is a lot cheaper, but far less reliable. For one, there’s no guarantee you’ll get a Doppler, and even then, the chance of getting a Black Pearl is very small. Still, plenty of people have obtained their Black Pearls this way, so why not you?

There, you’ll see all currently active cases that contain the skin. For example, the M9 Bayonet | Doppler is available in 5 cases at the time of writing, with prices starting at $10 and odds as high as 0.345%!
