Ah, mythology. Something that once was reserved for nerds, along with comic books, and now because comic book movies are watched by jocks, it has very much gone mainstream. In this article, we’ll be looking at the best mythology skins in CS2. This won’t be a full loadout, instead a highlight of some of our favorites related to Greek, Egyptian, and Norse Mythology.
So, are you ready? Let’s go!
Zeus x27 | Olympus
Price: $27
This is a weird start… the Zeus has one skin, and the skin shows… well, Zeus. Named after the Mountain of the Gods, this skin represents the Greek God of Thunder in a beautiful blue format that showcases Zeus in his full power, shocking everyone in his way.
Created by apel8 (known for a bunch of skins including Phobos, Legion of Anubis and Fever Dream) and denstarsk8 (creator of the P90 | Nostalgia), the first skin for the Zeus was a long time coming, and the launch skin is perfect.
In case you’re wondering about Zeus himself, he’s basically the big boss on Olympus. Starting off his divine career by being swapped with a stone by his mother to take revenge on his child-eating dad Kronos, he later ascends to become the god of thunder, and father to essentially half of the Greek mythos and sibling to the other half. The classic of all classics.

Desert Eagle | Emerald Jörmungandr
Price: $380
The Jörmungandr (try pronouncing that quickly) is a giant serpent that, according to Norse mythology, wraps around the world, oh and he’s also apparently Loki’s son. Man, Marvel never showed us that part of his bio.
The skin shows a runic pattern representing the… let’s call him Jorry on an emerald backdrop. It’s shiny, if a bit generic… and expensive. But hey, if you’re a mythology maniac, it’s a pretty good investment as it leads to crafting Gungnir’s and… y’know. These are not getting any more common.

P250 | Apep’s Curse
Price: $120
More serpents! It’s almost as if those mythologies are somewhat connected… Nope, not the time and place for that discussion. Apep was essentially the devil of the Egyptian pantheon, fighting against the light of Ra. That’s right, you’re essentially using a devilgun!
The gun itself was designed by… that’s right, apel8! Covered with gold, it doesn’t actually show Apep, instead going for a scaly vibe over the gold cover. What it does feature is a classic Egyptian scarab and some green and red inserts. It’s not the cheapest, but it really creates a great vibe for the P250. If you’re interested in the theme of Ancient Egypt, you’ll be glad to know there are more coming up—and make sure to check out our list of Egyptian CS2 skins as well.

Tec-9 | Hades
Price: $27
I don’t know why, I expected the Hades to be red, after all, Hades is the god of the Underworld, and it just feels like the Underworld is red. Well, that might just be the 21st Century talking.
The skin is mostly white and gray, featuring a pattern of helmets representing said Underworld through what I assume are various dead soldiers. An interesting idea, it’s not the most beautiful, but it will sure send your opponents all the way to Hades.
PP-Bizon | Judgement of Anubis
Price: $11
Another apel8 special, the Judgement of Anubis is one of the most interesting Bizon skins. Mostly black with gold accents, this skin has a lot of beautiful texturing which seems to be apel’s specialties.
The skin also fits perfectly with Anubis, the Egyptian god of funerals, who once ruled over the Underworld before being replaced by Osiris (who also has a skin named after him, but it’s more of a sci-fi CS2 skin). Anubis is also known as the weigher of hearts (a theme you may recognize from Marvel’s Moon Knight), to render his titular judgement.

P90 | Astral Jörmungandr
Price: $370
We’ve talked about ‘ole Jorry enough when it came to the Deagle, which is why we’re going to save you the lecture and instead just say that this is the same thing, but in a more night-time color. Expensive, but fitting to our theme, this serpent’s decent.

UMP-45 | Minotaur’s Labyrinth
Price: $140
We return to Greece as we head to the Minotaur’s Labyrinth. According to legend, the Minotaur was a giant man-bull hybrid locked in a labyrinth in Crete built by Daedalus (of Icarus’ dad fame), where he would be held and given child sacrifices to avoid the plague every few years. Eventually, the Athenian prince Theseus volunteered to slay the beast. With the help of Princess Ariadne, he was eventually able to kill the Minotaur and escape the labyrinth by following a thread that she left for him.
The skin itself shows that labyrinth in a 3D styling reminiscent of old Windows screensavers. It’s simple, but effective and geometric. Of course, given its collection, it’s a pricey one, but it will work for our loadout.

Negev | Mjölnir
Price: $2572
Also known as “meow meow”, courtesy of Kat Dennings’ character in Thor, Mjölnir is the hammer of… well, Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. In mythology, it was used as both a weapon of destruction and a source of blessings, while in the modern Marvel mythos it basically became a character onto itself, a weapon only to be wielded by those it believes to be worthy.
The skin itself definitely inspired by the former, with its deep, almost foundry like red-orange tinge making it feel like a worthy skin for the Negev. It’s a fitting skin, even if it’s on the expensive side. If you want to pay up the wazoo for a mythical laser gun, this one’s for you.

AWP | Gungnir
Price: $13,527
While the Mjölnir was Thor’s weapon of choice, the Gungnir was Odin’s spear. Odin, being the All-father, was the leader of the Norse pantheon, and he used Gungnir to wrestle control from Asgard to the other realms. The spear is known for always hitting its target regardless of skill, which (un)fortunately does not apply to CS2. Unless you buy it packaged with an aimbot that is. We do not recommend it.
The skin itself is truly beautiful. A shiny light blue finish complete with pearlescent accents including the skin itself. Boosted even more by the CS2 engine, this one is an absolute beaut, giving it a new shine.
AK-47 | Legion of Anubis
Price: $22
We’ve talked about the two A’s involved here, apel and Anubis at length, so we’re not going to waste your time repeating ourselves. Instead, let’s focus on the headliner of the Anubis collection. This AK is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, looking like a scene straight from the aforementioned Moon Knight. Night-colored for a lack of a better word, complete with a beautiful Egyptian pattern featuring gold wings, a jackal representation of Anubis.

FAMAS | Eye of Athena
Price: $15
We haven’t talked about Athena yet! Zeus’ daughter, the Greek goddess of Wisdom, oftentimes represented as an owl. And you know she must be smart, given that she was born from the Thunder God’s forehead.
The skin leans into the owl theme, showing an owl created out of feather-like patterns, making it look old-school and futuristic at the same time. It’s very intricate, combining subtlety with vibrancy. We like it, especially since it won’t break the bank.

M4A4 | Eye of Horus
Price: $840
Represented by a falcon, Horus has always been one of the more important deities in the Egyptian pantheon. The god of kingship, healing and protection, the son of Osiris and Isis, he was tasked with protecting Egypt from Set, Osiris’ brother and usurper, who eventually removed the titular Eye of Horus.
The skin focuses on the falcon aspect of Horus, painting over the ivory base with a beautiful blue and red pattern of the bird and its feathers. Fitting right in as the “light” aspect of the Anubis collection, we love it.

M4A4 | Poseidon
Price: $1456
Finally, we close with another M4A4, as if you don’t like Horus, you might love Poseidon. Poseidon is Zeus’ brother, the God of the Sea, famous among other things for his badass trident, and a few conflicts with his bro here and there. That and being Cyclops’ dad. The big one eyed beast’s, not Scott Summers’ that is.
The skin itself goes in heavy on the sea theme, showing the Greek God (and his trident) battling against a couple of eels on a sea-colored coat of paint. It’s very comic-booky, and would go perfectly with the likes of the Olympus, giving us a perfect bookend to this list.
