Best Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins: Full Loadout Guide

KeyDrop Team

It’s been a great year for the post-apocalypse. Not only did the Fallout TV show come out to rave reviews, but Mad Max: Furiosa releases… Today! In honor of the genre, we decided to give you a lowdown on the best post-apocalyptic loadout. So, are you ready to head out into the Wasteland? Arm yourself with the best post-apocalyptic CS2 skins!

Pistols: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

Ah, the trusty sidearm. Make sure yours looks the part with these post-apocalyptic CS2 skins:

CZ75-Auto | Vendetta

Price: $0.80–$1.30

We start off with a bit of a low-key skin. The Vendetta isn’t the most attractive Wasteland skin out there, but it definitely has a nice subtle vibe to it, with the small graffiti. By the way, we recommend you use this skin on higher wear levels for a full wasteland feel.

Desert Eagle | Hand Cannon

Price: $517–$960

The Deagle was a tough one as there wasn’t an outwardly post-apocalyptic skin in play, but the Hand Cannon has that used and rusted vibe you might be looking for. But hey, you can really achieve that with any Deagle skin on higher wear.

Dual Berettas | Hideout

Price: $0.20

Now this is more like it! These Dualies have that graffiti feel that really works well in a Wasteland setting, making them look like they belong to a local gang or warlord. A fun color palette and a design that works in our concept. What’s not to like?

Open cases with Dual Berettas | Hideout

Five-SeveN | Scrawl

Price: $0.15

And this is even better. Even though the Five-SeveN itself doesn’t look too wastelandy, the Scrawl gives it an edge. Filled with child-like drawings, it very much reminds us of the primitive neo-culture of the post-apocalypse. Whether it’s Mad Max or Fallout, it will work.

Glock-18 | Wasteland Rebel

Price: $3–$7

Well, the name tells you all you need to know. The weapon gives you a pretty good instruction on how to play the game “KILL THEM ALL”, and definitely looks like a desperate raider’s weapon.

Open cases with Glock-18 | Wasteland Rebel

P2000 | Scorpion

Price: $6–$20

This one is going to need a higher wear, but it works. The scorpion looks like a gang symbol, and the higher wear makes the P2000 look like it’s been around for a while, added to a brass-gold gun. If you don’t like the USP, this one will work for you.

Open cases with P2000 | Scorpion

P250 | Inferno

Price: $0.60–$2

It was hard to find a fitting skin, but the Inferno has a used look, combined with vines and all, making it look like a gun lost in a bush and found by a Lone Wanderer after years. So, if you want a green-feel, go for it.

Open cases with P250 | Inferno

R8 Revolver | Junk Yard

Price: $0.30

This one will need a higher wear to really be wastelandish, but it works. Showing a rather childlike take on gun skins, this simple revolver looks like something that could work for a junk faction of the wasteland world.

Open cases with R8 Revolver | Junk Yard

Tec-9 | Rebel

Price: $0.20

Despite the lack of a “Wasteland” in this one’s title, it’s still pretty similar, and we definitely think it would work in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Open cases with Tec-9 | Rebel

USP-S | Road Rash

Price: $32–$80

The USP isn’t a weapon you’re likely to find in the Wasteland, I mean… Who needs a silencer? Subtlety isn’t preferred. But, if you do choose to go for the pistol, the Road Rash, with all its used accents, is a great choice. Hey, perhaps you found it rusting away in a gun locker in a bunker or something.

Assault Rifles: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

A rugged AK (or several) is pretty much an integral part of any post-apocalyptic adventure. Check out these assault rifle skins to add to your loadout:

AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel

Price: $33–$320

The second Wasteland Rebel on this list works just as well. Graffiti, heavily used and dark, it looks like it’s been around the wastes a few times. And hey, everything you need to know is in the name!

Open cases with AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel

AUG | Radiation Hazard

Price: $2.50

The AUG never quite looked like something that would be found in the post-apocalypse (at least not with THAT scope), but hey, we’re not going to say no to a Radiation Hazard sign. Set your Geiger counters and head out!

Open cases with AUG | Radiation Hazard

FAMAS | Survivor Z

Price: $0.50

While we’re not really going for the zombie post-apocalypse here, the Survivor Z works in every situation in which the fabric of humanity has been irreparably torn. It’s dark, it’s graffitied, it’s gnarly. Works perfectly.

Open cases with FAMAS | Survivor Z

Galil AR | Chatterbox

Price: $10–$95

One of the most fun designs in CS2, the Chatterbox is a marvelous idea with the skull on the gun chattering as you fire. We can imagine some raider out there come up with this for the Galil, but this is a must-have, regardless of whether you use the Galil or not.

Open cases with Galil AR | Chatterbox

M4A1-S | Night Terror

Price: $0.40–$2

This one is scary and wouldn’t be out of place in a horror loadout. However, if there’s ever a chance to cosplay a post-apocalyptic creepy doll cult, this is it, making a fun addition to our collection.

Open cases with M4A1-S | Night Terror

M4A4 | Hellfire

Price: $40–$76

This cartoonish skin would definitely be in the top end of wasteland gunsmithery. Fun colors, a graffiti styling, and an interesting concept. What’s your bet for the gang that would give you this unique item? The Hellraisers?

Open cases with M4A4 | Hellfire

SG 553 | Ol’ Rusty

Price: $0.15

The Ol’ Rusty looks straight from Fallout, complete with the 50s typeface and all. It’s rugged, yet artistically clean, rusty yet new-looking. It’s a fun combo that works extremely well in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Open cases with SG 553 | Ol’ Rusty

Sniper Rifles: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

Death comes swiftly and unexpectedly when it’s delivered through a sniper rifle. (Assuming you’re a decent shot, anyway. And luck is on your side. And no one’s managed to sneak up on you. You know what, never mind.) Here are some post-apocalyptic sniper skins to get you into the right mood:

AWP | Fever Dream

Price: $9–$15

The pink-and-blue gang comes again with a fun skin that works best somewhere around Field-Tested wear. It’s very much of the doodly-graffiti kind, with pink and white colors giving it a girl-gang edge. We like it.

Open cases with AWP | Fever Dream

SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist

Price: $0.15

A top 10 skin in terms of pun names, the Poultrygeist has some intricate artwork of an… ex-chicken, which turns really post-apocalyptic at higher wear levels. It was a tough choice for the SCAR-20, but it was decent in the end.

Open cases with SCAR-20 | Poultrygeist

SSG 08 | Fever Dream

Price: $0.40–$3

We’ve used this for the AWP, and we’ll use it for the other sniper. Maybe it’s just a gang of sniper-jokers that we’re going for here. Either way, heavily graffitied with vibrant blue and pink colors, this screams “something went wrong”. We’re just not sure what, exactly.

Open cases with SSG 08 | Fever Dream

G3SG1 | The Executioner

Price: $1–$11

Oh, this one looks straight out of Immortan Joe’s locker. Red and black with some claws and bones, it’s very much Mad Max style all the way, making the rather new-looking G3SG1 look used and abused, as a post-apocalyptic gun should.

Open cases with G3SG1 | The Executioner

SMGs: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

Nothing screams “raider” like a firing SMG. Whether you consider yourself a desert scoundrel or the fearless protector of your group, make your SMG stand out:

MAC-10 | Pipe Down

Price: $0.50–$2

So you’re out of metal for your SMG? Use those pipes that are lying around. One of the coolest concepts in all of CS2 when it comes to skins, the Pipe Down gives the Mac-10 unique depth and a fun look. For our use, definitely go for the Battle-Scarred version.

Open cases with MAC-10 | Pipe Down

MP5-SD | Oxide Oasis

Price: $337–$1200

This gun doesn’t look wastelandy, but this skin with a rusty look really makes up for it. Just don’t go for Battle Scarred, as it somehow looks more futuristic than the lower wears. It’s decent, but a definite skip if you’re not in love with the SD.

Open cases with MP5-SD | Oxide Oasis

MP7 | Just Smile

Price: $1–$3

The Joker meets the Wasteland in this one. Put this in Battle Scarred, and it will look like a gang’s signature gun. Its matte blue color really compliments the yellow smiley and accents, and wouldn’t feel out of place in the post-apocalypse.

Open cases with MP7 | Just Smile

MP9 | Slide

Price: $0.05

It feels like while creating this list, we have two categories. Inspired by the post-apocalypse, and… rust-colored. This one is definitely the latter. It’s really nothing to write home about, but on the other hand, at least it’s cheap!

Open cases with MP9 | Slide

PP-Bizon | Embargo

Price: $1–$7

This is more like it! The Embargo looks like a weapon constructed from various scrap lying around a landfill, and adds to its Falloutesque aesthetic by using that matte blue colorway, along with a 50s style poster in the background. We don’t know if that was the inspiration behind this one, but we love it.

Open cases with PP-Bizon | Embargo

P90 | Neoqueen

Price: $1

This one somehow looks more vibrant in Battle-Scarred, so we’d advise going mid-wear for the full Wasteland effect. Looking like a futuristic gun somebody decided to give to an edgy teenager, the Neoqueen gives a fun graffiti vibe. While not perfect for our loadout, it fits enough to be included!

Open cases with P90 | Neoqueen

UMP-45 | Wild Child

Price: $1–$14

This UMP has a lot of oomph. Very much colorful, but yet not in that futuristic/cyberpunky sense that most guns with this colorway are. Very much a used-future look, it could easily fit in a multitude of post-apocalyptic worlds, and it fits right into our loadout.

Open cases with UMP-45 | Wild Child

Shotguns: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

Boom! Another classic of bandit weaponry. Check out these post-apocalyptic shotgun skins:

MAG-7 | Popdog

Price: $0.10–$1.50

Sporting a representation of the legendary company behind de_train (that’s right, that’s why ladder room is known as Popdog, their logo used to be there) on a weapon famously often used in ladder rooms. Its great story doesn’t detract from the fact that this rugged weapon looks like something straight from a ghoul hunter’s arsenal. We love it, and if you like shotties, you will too!

Open cases with MAG-7 | Popdog

Nova | Rust Coat

Price: $4

We couldn’t choose anything else but ‘ol faithful. Rusted through and old, it looks like one of those weapons you’ll get 5 caps for at most. For once, however, rust isn’t a bad thing, but rather a positive choice.

Open cases with Nova | Rust Coat

Sawed-Off | Wasteland Princess

Price: $1–$8

Remember the Kings, a gang of Elvis impersonators in New Vegas? Well, here we have something The Queens, a gang of Marilyn Monroe impersonators, would probably use. Very much in the Fallout vibe, with the classic lipstick art combined with falling bombs and graffiti, this is one of the most post-apocalyptic skins out there. And we love it.

Open cases with Sawed-Off | Wasteland Princess

XM1014 | Bone Machine

Price: $6–$9

Stoner rock band Kyuss used to sing they’re loading their War Machine, and well, in CS2 you can load your Bone Machine. A classic wasteland combo of matte teal and orange, along with a classic adornment of skulls, loads the Bone Machine straight onto our list.

Open cases with XM1014 | Bone Machine

Machine Guns: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

We all know machine guns work best when they’re attached to a rugged 4×4, but that’s not an option in CS2. You’ll carry yours around, so at least make it look the part:

M249 | Warbird

Price: $0.50–$1.50

The M249 doesn’t have much choice and the Warbird is a boring skin, but then again one we can see The Brotherhood of Steel using this one along with their power armor. It’s meh, but hey, in the wasteland meh works sometimes.

Open cases with M249 | Warbird

Negev | Loudmouth

Price: $0.70–$6

The Negev more than makes up for it in the Heavy section, as the Loudmouth looks like something lifted straight from Fallout and Mad Max. I could see this weapon making a killing in either franchise in the hands of some mad villain, or kooky killer. Definitely recommended.

Open cases with Negev | Loudmouth

Knife and Gloves: Post-Apocalyptic CS2 Skins

There are few things a survivor needs more than a decent knife. Grab some post-apocalyptic-looking gloves while you’re at it:

Huntsman Knife | Rust Coat

Price: $155

We chose the Huntsman Knife as it was the most over-the-top machete-like blade we could find, and what other choice can we have in the post apocalypse than the Rust Coat? An old blade found by our hero? Mad Max’s sidearm? Whatever the case, it works.

Open cases with Huntsman Knife | Rust Coat

Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged

Price: $390

Finally, we get to the gloves. The Unhinged are just one of the choices, as all Broken Fang gloves really work here. Fingerless, simple and aggressive, these gloves wouldn’t seem out of place in Shady Sands or the Thunderdome.

Open cases with Broken Fang Gloves | Unhinged

And that’s all for this one. Have we missed any post-apocalyptic CS2 skins? Have you seen any Steam Workshop skins that you feel would complete this collection? Let us know on our socials, and until then, always remember to have your Pip-Boy handy!
