15 Best M4A4 Skins in CS2

KeyDrop Team

The M4A4 is an absolute staple of Counter-Strike, having served many Counter-Terrorists well on their epic defenses. Now competing with the M4A1-S for the CT Crown, perhaps for some of you, its look will be the deciding factor. Or, you can be sneaky and put both in your loadout! Either way, we’ve selected the 15 best M4A4 skins for your perusal, ranging from the wallet breaking extremes of the Howl, to the budget choices like the Royal Paladin and styles ranging from low-key realistic to anime madness.

1. Howl

Price: $3747–$5800

The most iconic M4A4 skin, we’ve already talked about it in our biggest scandals in CS2 article, but let’s recap. One of the creators of the original design stole the “howling wolf”. This forced Valve to change the design, and to make matters more interesting, they made the skin “Contraband” with no new Howls being unboxed ever since then.

2. In Living Color

Price: $5–$44

Not related to the band, but clearly related to the design. This comic-book/graffiti inspired rifle skin is filled with Easter eggs and looks fantastic, if you’re looking to make your inventory more colorful.

3. Neo-Noir

Price: $4–$37

One of the classic CS:GO collections, the Neo-Noir is a fantastic skin with a vaporwave vibe, and a clean finish. If you’re a fun of Cyberpunk and or… well, Neo-Noir art, this collection is bound to make you a happy camper.

4. Bullet Rain

Price: $14–$63

From a serious comic to a looser cartoon, Bullet Rain skins are pretty low-key, looking like not much from afar, but if you love to inspect your weapon, you’ll love the Bullet Rain. Subtle blueish-notes combined with the red bullets falling from the sky. Plus, it’s a warning of what will happen if the Terrorists try to take your site.

5. Asiimov

Price: $70–$158

Back to classics, the Asiimov is perhaps the most recognizable collection in all of Counter-Strike, sporting skins for the “big three” of AK-47, AWP and M4A4, along with a P90 and P250 as added bonuses. The skins are inspired by sci-fi aesthetics, including the works of the eponymous Isaac Asiimov, but with a definite Star Wars vibe, with a “used future” look really shining throw at lower floats.

Here are the other Asiimov skins available in CS2:

6. Cyber Security

Price: $14–$49

Back to CyberPunk, the CyberSec seems lifted straight out of Night City, featuring a colorful collage and some Japanese art to boot. The candy-like design lends itself to loadouts based around fun colors and futuristic concepts, it’s great for any cyberpunk, synthwave or sci-fi loadout.

7. Hellfire

Price: $47–$74

Comic book skins seem to rule this list, but one’s especially awesome in many ways. Its colorway is similar to the Howl, but it features a cartoon character with some comic book text, making it way less “serious”, while maintaining a cool, hellish aesthetic.

8. 龍王 (Dragon King)

Price: $7–$36

This is a personal favorite of mine, as it combines a nice color palette with a classic Chinese Dragon theme. It’s both vibrant, and subtle, working with both vaporwave loadouts and more artsy selections.  If you like purple, or want a classy Dragon to join your collection, the Dragon King is a great choice.

9. Desolate Space

Price: $5–$27

Another staple of the mid-budget M4A4 skin collection, the Desolate Space is best described as beautifully haunting. With a vibrant blue colorway broken by an image of a skeleton in an astronaut’s helmet, referencing some of the best sci-fi horrors we’ve seen over the years. If you love space adventures, or simply have a blue loadout, the Desolate Space is an excellent choice.

10. Daybreak

Price: $274–$1 622

This is a really fun one, featuring a unique colorway and style. A silver skin with gold accents, you’d expect a blingy, royal theme. Instead, the silver represents the sky, while the gold represents clouds. Despite a rough start in CS2, the skin has now been fixed and is now more fun and vibrant than ever.

11. Poseidon

Price: $1239–$1640

On the expensive end mostly because of being a trade-up into the AWP | Medusa, the Poseidon is still a cool skin especially if you love mythology-themed skins or aquatic loadouts. So, if you have cash to burn, and a love for the original Neptune, give this one a try.

12. Eye of Horus

Price: $196–$1399

We continue to turn back the clocks with another mythological skin, this time referencing the Egyptian canon. Featuring a design referencing the aesthetics of Fourth Dynasty Egypt, with a white coat finished with some awesome Egyptian-style art. If you love Anubis, this Egyptian CS2 skin will definitely fit the bill.

13. Royal Paladin

Price: $6–$113

From Ancient Egypt to the Medieval, the Royal Paladin is a gilded weapon that really benefits from CS2’s new shine. With an armor/gold like feel, this one really makes you feel like a knight or… paladin. So if you like gold, this one’s a must-have.

14. Buzz Kill

Price: $10–$37

If you like futuristic skins, but don’t quite enjoy the Asiimov’s colorway, the Buzz Kill goes in a different direction, betting on a black-and-gold theme that is still reminiscent of classic sci-fi, but in a completely different way. It’s not the most expensive, and a staple of any yellowish mid-budget loadout.

15. Temukau

Price: $12–$187

And finally, if you love Anime, the Temukau has to be your choice. With a bubblegum colorway and a detailed drawing of an anime Counter-Terrorist, this skin is a must for any anime/manga fan, and with higher floats coming in at pretty low prices, a pretty good get.
